What Is Salvation?
Table of Contents
Salvation means being rescued from sin and brought back into a relationship with God through Jesus Christ.
The Bible teaches that every person has sinned. None of us can earn salvation by being good enough, attending church, helping others, or trying harder.
Salvation is a gift from God.
Jesus came into the world, died for our sins, and rose again so that we could be forgiven and receive eternal life.
You do not need to fix your life before coming to Jesus. You can come to Him as you are.
Be honest with God. Admit that you have sinned, believe that Jesus died and rose again, and choose to follow Him.

What Is Salvation and Why We Need It
Sin separates us from God.
Sin is more than breaking rules. It includes the wrong things we do, say, think, and choose. It also includes living without God and following our own way instead of His.
Romans 3:23 tells us that everyone has sinned. That means salvation is not only for people who have made terrible mistakes. Every person needs God’s forgiveness. Salvation is God’s gift of forgiveness and new life through Jesus Christ, offered freely to anyone who believes in Him.
Salvation Cannot Be Earned
Many people believe they must become a better person before God will accept them.
But the Bible teaches that salvation is given by grace through faith.
We cannot buy it, earn it, or work hard enough to deserve it.
Good works are important, but they do not save us.
Good works should come after salvation as we begin living for God.
Jesus has already paid the price for our sins.

Jesus Is the Way to God
Jesus said that He is the way, the truth, and the life.
Salvation is found through Jesus because He took the punishment for our sins on the cross.
He died, was buried, and rose again.
Because Jesus lives, anyone who places their trust in Him can be forgiven, receive a new beginning, and have the hope of eternal life.
How Can I Be Saved?
You can come to God with simple and honest faith.
You need to:
1. Admit that you have sinned. 2. Believe that Jesus died and rose again. 3. Ask God to forgive you. 4. Turn away from your old way of living. 5. Choose to follow Jesus.
You do not need special words.
God looks at your heart.

A Simple Prayer of Salvation
Father God,
I know that I have sinned and lived in my own way.
I believe that Jesus died for my sins and rose again.
Please forgive me and give me a new beginning.
I place my trust in Jesus and ask Him to become the Lord of my life.
Help me turn away from sin and follow You each day.
Thank You for loving me, forgiving me, and welcoming me into Your family.
In Jesus’ name,
Amen.
What Should I Do Next?
If you have sincerely placed your faith in Jesus, begin taking small steps to grow closer to God.
Start reading the Bible.
Pray honestly.
Attend a Bible-believing church.
Spend time with Christians who can encourage you.
Your Christian life will not always be easy, and you will not become perfect overnight.
You may still make mistakes and face difficult days.
But you will not walk alone.
God will help you grow one step at a time.
God bless you,
Ingrid
